Music is Jaclyn Bradley Palmer’s first language. Originally from Lorain, Ohio, music has been Jaclyn’s vehicle to meeting amazing people and experiencing the world. It is the vessel that placed her at Indiana University where she received a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance and Los Angeles where she composed songs for TV and film. After years of classical studies, performances across the United States, and many recordings, Jaclyn was compelled to help others through the music that has so richly graced her own life. With this in mind, Jaclyn began a post baccalaureate music therapy degree at Cleveland State University. From the moment she began her studies, she knew that music therapy was an amazing opportunity to integreate her talents with her desire to serve others.
After her Internship at Case Medical Center, Jaclyn was hired as the music therapist at University Hospital”s Ahuja Medical Center. In addition she is currently conducting research through the Seidman Cancer Center on the effect perioperative music therapy has on women undergoing breast biopsy surgery.
Jaclyn is also enrolled at Colorado State University where she is obtaining a master’s degree focused on Neurologic Music Therapy.
When she is not practicing music therapy, Jaclyn enjoys hiking, discovering new films, traveling and cooking with her husband, Oliver whom she married in Italy in 2010!
