Cara Davis graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in music therapy from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. She completed her internship at University Hospitals of Cleveland in December 2005 and joined the staff at the Ireland Cancer Center in January 2006.
Cara is the music therapist for MacDonald Women’s Hospital where she works with oncology patients as well as high-risk pregnancy. Cara is interested in studying the effects of music on fetal development as well as how music therapy for the mother will affect the fetus. She is currently training to become a certified Doula so she can offer services in labor and delivery.
Cara is also the music therapist for an intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment program where she leads group music therapy sessions. She will also begin leading music therapy groups in the Addictions Recover Unit in June of 2006.
When Cara is not working, she enjoys reading, watching movies, writing, and going home to Texas to visit family and friends.
